Wow! It’s nearly the end of January of 2018 and I haven’t done my first blog post of the new year. I better get a move on and publish this!
In fact, it has been quite a loooong time since my last blog post. Unfortunately a small little thing called “Life” got in the way and not necessarily in a good way. But hopefully that chapter is closed and this is the beginning of a new chapter! Don’t you just love the excitement of a brand new year filled with brand new chapters of blank pages to fill with new experiences!
Now, I’ve never really been one for New Year Resolutions because, to be frank, not many of resolutions are reached or kept anyway! But after 2017, I’ve decided to set myself some resolutions. Not because I need to, but because I want to, in order to better myself, I suppose. My resolutions may be small compared to others, but I always believe in the small things in life.
I want to spend more time with friends, read more books, go for more afternoon walks and morning strolls, eat healthier, and get back to enjoying the little things in life. I want to start being carefree and relaxed again. I want to start spending less time on social media and more time on real life If I can achieve these by the end of 2018, I will be in a better place.
Some of the most beautiful things that happen in our lives can also be the most unexpected, the moments you never planned for. When they happen, see the beauty of the moment and let it last forever. We have just one life. Live your life to the fullest, give your best in everything, do what you love, regret and fear nothing.
The first step I’ve taken towards my goals is to set up a “Good Moments 2018” time capsule bottle. Each time something good happens this year, I write it down and pop it in the bottle. On New Year’s Eve, whilst enjoying my Cider, I can open the bottle and remember all the good times of the year. I’m actually really excited about this!
Stay tuned as my next blog post will be up next month!
